Ken Blackwell Endorses Dave Yost for Ohio Governor

COLUMBUS — Conservative leader and former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell today announced his endorsement of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost for governor, calling him the right leader to advance President Trump’s America First vision for Ohio.
“Dave is a long-time friend and compatriot in the conservative movement,” said Blackwell. “He has consistently championed the America First agenda and is a strong advocate for Ohio's families, businesses, and taxpayers. Dave is the governor we need to protect the interests of and improve the quality of life for all Ohioans.”
Blackwell praised Yost’s commitment to conservative principles, commending Yost’s record of fighting illegal immigration, defending Second Amendment rights, and protecting the sanctity of life. He highlighted Yost’s legal battles against the Biden administration as a testament to his leadership.
“Dave has successfully fought back against the Biden administration’s government overreach, securing victory after victory for Ohio families,” Blackwell added. “As governor, we can count on him to continue delivering principled leadership focused on economic growth, job creation, safeguarding individual liberties, and preserving the values that make Ohio great.”
Blackwell, a nationally recognized conservative leader, serves on the boards of the Club for Growth and the National Rifle Association. He is also the Chair of the Center for Election Integrity at the America First Policy Institute and a Senior Fellow at the Family Research Council. His distinguished career includes serving as Ohio Treasurer, Ohio Secretary of State, Mayor of Cincinnati, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission.

Yost was elected Ohio Attorney General in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, with more votes than any Attorney General in Ohio history. He also served two terms as Ohio Auditor and Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney. Prior to serving in elected office, Yost practiced law in Delaware County.
